A More Effective Workout for Less Money? You Decide.

"I have had the BodyRail 430 for several months now. I have waited until now to write my comments because I wanted to try it out first. Let me tell you this machine is great. I am a female who did not have any upper body strength. The workout I get is great. I have not done a whole lot of the exercises because I have found a few that really work such as chest press and pull ups. Having a home gym has saved me a lot of time since I used to go to the gym at 5 am before work. I have lost over 20 lbs and have about 20 more to go. Everyone thinks I look great. I bought this machine because I can raise it off the floor which is wonderful. I also have the pilates kit because I have to work on my range of motion especially in my hips due to an injury I had as a youth. Again this is a great piece of equipment. The company also has excellent costumer service. Thanks. "

BodyRail
Advantages
(Shown here on the BodyRail 4-series)

A key advantage to BodyRail is PROPER FORM. Proper form is essential to getting the most from your workout and avoiding injury. This is achieved in several ways. BodyRail's cables adjust in height up and down from the rail. Why is this important? The ability to adjust cable height allows the user to place resistance on the same plane of the muscle group being worked where it will provide the most benefit. BodyRail also provides two cable rods; a standard 16" rod and, on the 4-series, a wide 30" rod. This allows the user to also adjust resistance laterally. Why is this important? Just like vertical adjustment, lateral adjustment allows the user additional flexibility in placing resistance where it will provide the most benefit. For cable curls or leg extensions, you would want to use the 16" rod to keep the resistance closer to your body. For chest presses or flyes, resistance should come from shoulder width with the 30" rod for maximum benefit.

Vertical AND lateral cable adjustment not available on Total Gym

PROPER FORM is also achieved with the reversible foot platform. BodyRail's reversible foot platform provides clearance under the rail. Why is this important? Clearance under the rail allows the user to place cable resistance below the rail thus providing maximum benefit through proper form when doing such exercises as leg extensions and swimming among others. Elevating the rail with the reversible foot platform also means that all exercises can be done at seat level comfort.

Reversible foot platform offers clearance under the rail not found on Total Gym

Another key benefit is MAXIMUM RESISTANCE. BodyRail's 6' high risers on the 4-series provide users up to 89% of their bodyweight without having to add weights. No other machine of this type, not even Total Gym, provides that level of natural resistance. The height of the risers also means cables can be set at higher levels for proper form for exercises such as pullovers. At the same time, BodyRail does not use pulleys. Pulleys reduce resistance by 50%. Total Gym actually states this in their user manual. And if BodyRail's levels of resistance are not enough, you can always add weights (but we doubt you'll ever need to.) You'll also notice that our exercise bar fits through our cable handles for those who prefer the feel of a bar instead of cable handles. Oh, and speaking of the exercise bar, it simply slides through the rail for quick change-outs and is free-floating so it rotates with your wrist when doing such exercises as bar curls.

The 6 foot risers offer more resistance and flexibility than Total Gym

Another key benefit is Quality. You'll find steel throughout. Steel so strong, it holds a car! No competitor in this category can make that claim. And because of this strength, BodyRail machines are warranted for commercial use. Here's the legal part. Just because BodyRail CAN hold a car, don't do this at home. BodyRail is not designed to be used as a car ramp.
