Here Are Some Key Comparisons Between BodyRail and Flex Machines

Safety: With BodyRail, there is no vertical lifting which significantly reduces stress and strain on the back. With BowFlex, any vertical force will cause you to put undue pressure on your back. Exercises such as shoulder presses, upright rows, lateral raises, shrugs, curls, etc.. can all be performed on BodyRail with proper form and with the safety of reduced stress and strain on the back.

Body weight vs. power rods and bows: BodyRail uses your natural bodyweight as resistance, just like the resistance you encounter in normal daily activities. Flex machines use power rods and bows for resistance. When is the last time you had to lift a power rod at your job or around the house?

100+ Exercises: You can do just about every exercise imaginable with BodyRail, even swimming. You have to purchase the highest end Flex machines to come close to this number of exercises.

Price: The BodyRail 440i is $599!!! The least expensive Flex machine will run you over $700 and many will cost you well over $1,000!!!(make sure to add up their monthly payments!)

Set Up Time: Notice Flex machine manufacturers never mention how long it will take you to set up one of their machines. It takes hours to set up some Flex machines before you can use them. Some assembly manuals alone are 20 pages! BodyRail sets up in less than 5 minutes!

Space Requirements: The BodyRail 440i takes up 26" x 9'6" x 6' (W/L/H) in the freestanding mode. Collapsed it takes up 6 1/2" x 14" for easy rollaway storage in a closet or another room. Some Flex machines take up 3'2" x 7'6" x 7'1/2" (W/L/H). Even folded they can take up to 38" x 52". Some Flex machines state they are portable and even shows it being rolled it away. Then why do they mention on page 2 of their 20 page assembly manual "Select where you are going to locate your (machine) carefully.... Assemble your (machine) in the location where you intend to use it, as it does not go through doors easily once fully assembled."
26" Wide
